Wunderlist Task Manager iPhone app offers cloud syncing, organization

This is a great free app for the iPhone that helps you organize your life in a clean and efficient manner. Wunderlist Task Manager is a feature-rich app that gets the job done. Some of which I’ve listed below:

  • Cloud Sync with Windows and Mac desktops.
  • Add tasks and due dates.·Add notes.
  • Mark important tasks with a star.
  • Search your to-do items.
  • Creates badge notifications about how many items are due today!
  • Edit lists and task.
  • Easy to delete tasks and lists
  • One of the first things I like about this app is that although it wants you to sign-in to the app to sync with the desktop version, it doesn’t require you to. I hate apps that do this because, as a reviewer, I find myself signing-up for apps I never use again.

It comes pre-built with two tasks, one of which is a tutorial section that’s pretty clever! The interface is simple, yet intuitive, so it’s easy to get started.

Once you add a list and name it, you can then add tasks easily. The app prompts you to do so in a translucent input box that separates itself from the other tasks and lists. When you add and name a task, you’re given three fields to enter information about the task at hand. There’s an area to write a note, select a due date, and, if you want, set the task as a priority. If you select “on” in this field, the task will be marked with a red banner and starred. And if you select today as the due date, the app will create a badge with the number of tasks due today, and place that numbered badge right on the icon. So even if the app is closed, you’ll know you have some unfinished business.

This is something I wish other apps, such as Apple’s alerts, had built in. With Wunderlist, you’re constantly being reminded of your high-priority tasks until you mark them as being done. Being extremely visually minded, I like that feature a lot!

Although you can change backgrounds, I find this feature unnecessary, as most of the background is covered with all of your tasks.
