Will we have to wait until March 16 to find out if new iPad has 1GB of RAM?

Many of us that will begin to line up around the Apple Store next week, or greet the UPS man with a bear hug on Friday morning, have many things to be curious about as it relates to the new iPad.

The biggest hanging issue for those focused on memory is whether the device will double the RAM of the iPad 2 to one full gigabyte. According to The Verge and multiple sources, this will be the case.

Apple curiously had no mention of this during yesterday’s announcement and has not confirmed the RAM capacity. If Apple is indeed ushering us into the “Post PC” era, this will certainly help.

Stay tuned.

More updates from yesterday’s announcement

– Having 4G LTE connectivity has its advantages. Verizon confirmed today that Mobile Hotspots will be included in the 4G LTE data plan for the new iPad.

– The cheapest data plan for the 4G LTE comes from AT&T at $14.99 per month for 250MB. AT&T also will offer 3GB plans ($30/month), and 5GB plans ($50/month). Verizon customers can pay $20 per month for 1GB, $30 per month for 2GB and $50 per month for 5GB.
