World Wiki
World Wiki gives you the basic facts about every country on our planet and includes a picture of their flag and audio of their national anthem. I think the most usable feature it offers is the calling code for each country. This app is a very basic intro to the globe and the global economy. Neat!
Wikipanion
If I’m not mistaken, I think there are a few apps designed with the goal to make navigating Wikipedia via mobile device easier. This one is just as good as any other in terms of search capability. Eventually, I will do a list of all of the “wikipanions” and point out the pro’s and cons of each. For now, I would say stick with the mobile version of Wikipedia (Wikipedia Mobile) and if that doesn’t do it for you, try Wikipanion. If anyone has a favorite “wikipanion,” please let me know. I’m always interested.

This app is one of the few apps that I will actually take the time to RATE on the itunes store because I love it so much!!! Wikihood gives you detailed information about known and lesser know landmarks in your neighborhood. It includes images and directions, notable events and people, and user ratings. There is so much about my own “hood” that I don’t know. Plus, this app is great for visiting friends in other places because we can experience new info and see new sights together. This app proves that even the most classic idea for an app can be made better and there is so much we don’t know, or don’t think of that is right in front of our noses! A Must Have!

This app is a MUST HAVE! It’s a basic primer for any situation you can imagine.
-How to Treat a Bullet Wound
-How to Escape a Sinking Car

-How to start a fire without matches
And the list goes on and on. This app is easy to navigate and very well organized. If you’re not much of an outdoors person, then try the section “Party Emergencies.” To chill drinks quickly, just add a bunch of salt to the ice!
