Use Wedding Planning Tips for a really cheap wedding

It’s ironic that I was asked to review Wedding Planning Tips as I’m planning my own wedding; or, should I say, my fiance is!

I was a bit curious to see how this app would organize itself on this subject. To call this an app is really stretching it. It’s essentially a modified ebook converted to an app. The author does cover a lot of ground, though, as she talks about pretty much every topic and does this with 21 chapters of information.

The problem with the app is that the title is misleading. It should be called Wedding Tips for a Really Cheap Wedding or The $2,000 Wedding Planner. This should be noted in the textual description in the app store. The ebook does offer up some money-saving ideas and ways to cut corners, but it’s a boring read. It would have been nice if she had included some illustrations. The text is riddled with typos and grammatical errors. It also would have been nice if she included links to some sites instead of only giving general information. Personal opinion goes a lot further if you can mention things you’ve tried or had experience doing. It would be nice to have a Next button within the app so we don’t have to go back to the table of contents after each chapter.

There are a few plus sides to this: It does have a handy feature for the visually impaired, as you can increase the font size. It also allows you to email chapters to others.

At the end of the ebook/app, it states, “Here are the checklists we promised!” Since it’s an app, we can’t print them out, and even if we could, there weren’t any links to PDFs or downloads at any sites.
