Hold on, I’ll get to this review in a second. I’ve just got to finish sending this text message. OMG. LOL!!

Okay, now I can tell you about Textfree, an app from Pinger that allows you to send and receive free text messages from your iPhone or iPod Touch. You read that right – free text messages, no strings attached.

You begin by creating an account through Textfree. For example, mine would be [email protected] Then you are free to send all the texts your thumbs can handle. If you have the 3G iPhone you can receive texts even when the app is not open.

Textfree costs $5.99, but there is a free version that includes advertising and has a limit of 15 texts per day. You should also know that the recipients are charged normally for any texts you send from Textfree.

I really don’t have anything negative to say about this app. It’s not the prettiest tool and it doesn’t have loads of cool features, but it does exactly what it says it does – text for free.

This app is perfect for iPod Touch users, and the fact that it works with Push Notification makes it just as good as normal texting on the iPhone. What are you waiting for? Download it now and put those thumbs to work.
