And you thought your night was bad? Based on the wildly popular Web site, www.textsfromlastnight.com, the iPhone app by the same name promises to entertain and shock with the dirty, lewd and ridiculous.

This app is best used as a momentary distraction to your day. Say, for example, the train is running late again and you just don’t feel like reading up on some hard news. Pop open the Texts From Last Night app and laugh away.

Approximately 99 percent of the texts listed on the app involved, sex, drugs or alcohol, and many involve all three. The app categorizes the texts by best nights and worst nights and then by time frame, including today, this week, this month, and all time.

The texts range from “I just had the fat girl at the party come tell me I look sad and offer me a beer. I’m out” to much, much more raunchy postings that we will not publish here!

If you are a text addict, and have a few amusing comments you would like to share, the app allows you to upload texts and replies. You can also save your favorite texts for repeat reading at a later time.
