We have all found ourselves balancing our iPhones on our leg while behind the wheel, trying to find a wedding reception, a business meeting or the one Starbucks in all of Sioux City, Iowa.

But with the free SYNC Destinations iPhone app, you can send that navigation information to your car’s navigation system and put away the phone.

The SYNC Destinations app works with 2010 or 2011 Ford, Lincoln and Mercury cars that are equipped with the SYNC navigation system. It allows users to save up to 25 destinations, and provides real-time traffic information, including average speed, accident alerts and estimated time of arrival.

SYNC Destinations provides turn-by-turn directions, so you can rest assured that you won’t get lost. It is great for those who like to plan ahead – it even includes recommendations on when to leave the house so as to have quickest and most efficient drive possible.

The app also has a safety feature that locks it from use when your vehicle is traveling at more than five miles per hour, eliminating temptation to be a distracted driver.

The platforms for this app is limited, but if you happen to have the SYNC system in your car, take advantage of this app.
