Your status in HD? Facebook updates app for new iPad Retina display

It took a long time for Facebook to finally release an iPad version (or, at least, to make their iOS app universal and compatible with all of Apple’s devices), but at least they’re continuing to support it.

Today, the social networking giant released an update to their hugely popular app to take advantage of the new iPad’s improved Retina display. Now, all those embarrassing photos of you at your neighbor’s barbecue should look cleaner and crisper than ever.

There’s still no iPad support for the new Timeline pages that Facebook has been pushing out recently, according to The Verge. Timeline profile pages can only be viewed on iPhones and iPod Touches currently, but perhaps future updates will take care of that.

There are a few other additional bug fixes in this latest Facebook 4.1.1 iOS update, including the ability to go offline in chat, fixes for the wrong profile images showing up, and support for new languages including Czech, Danish, Greek, Indonesian, Malaysian, Norwegian, Thai and Portuguese.
