Have you ever been at work, or in class, and had the urge to rest your head on your desk and take a quick nap? Well the pzizz iPhone app is designed to help you do just that.

Naps, according to the app’s info guide, can help one refresh and re-energize in the midst of a busy day. Start the app’s player, and you’re greeted by the peaceful chime of bells and the soothing voice of a man.

The voice, and some super chill music, helps ease you into a mentally relaxed state. If you are thinking, the voice recommends, think softly and gently. And, by golly, I’m telling you it works! I felt like the audio track was giving my brain a soft massage.

The ideal nap duration, according to the app’s instructions, is between 20 and 40 minutes. But the app allows you to adjust its settings for naps as long as 90 minutes (if only we all had the luxury of that amount of time!).

The settings can also be adjusted to minimize or maximize the volume of the music and accompanying sounds. I turned the voice down, and the sounds up, and soon I was transported to a beach in Maui, with nothing but the rush of waves to concentrate on.
