Simple iDork Lite a little slow for pros

This is a game for the right kind of dork. That’s not me.

A doodle, iDork, is trapped in a homework. You use your finger to draw lines to help him escape through a tear in the paper.

Sounds simple. Not so fast. Poor iDork is prone to turning into nothing more than a bloody splat if any obstacle, such as a pencil, gets in his way.

While this game has some appeal, it failed to impress me.

First, it’s irritating that iDork has a very leisurely stroll for someone who wants to make a hasty escape from homework hell. I would have liked to control iDork’s pace.

Second, the game screen is riddled with instructions, which distracted me from playing the actual game. A way to hide these instructions would be beneficial. The thumbtack guiding iDork’s path gets lost amidst the clutter.

Such little issues added up to a less-than-pleasant experience.

While some may like iDork’s simple concept, I found it too rudimentary. I like my dorks more complex.
