Señor Turner’s Favorite Apps

Oct 24, 2012

I’m a middle school Spanish teacher. This list is directed toward other classroom teachers looking for free or low cost apps for the iPad.

Educreations Interactive Whiteboard

A great way to explain things again and to get students envolved in teaching each other.

Skitch – Snap. Mark Up. Send.

Let’s you draw, point out things in photos and send the creations to the camera roll.

Groovy Grader

It takes the place of the slide grader that most teachers have but can’t find when they need it.

Pocket: Save Articles and Videos to View Later

An excellent way to keep a list of online articles you intend to read or want to save.

Google Drive – free online storage from Google

You can get to your Google docs on the iPad by using your Gmail account.

Evernote – capture notes and sync across all devices. Stay organized.

A fabulous way to keep up with pictures, websites and other items that often get put in a variety of locations. Now they’re in one place.

One of the easiest ways to get files from your laptop to your iPad.

BrainPOP Featured Movie

The kids love it. And there’s a quiz for every video!

My students are using this app to take class notes and email them to their own email address.
