North Face Snow Report a first resort for skiers

While most people don’t start thinking about snow until at least November, The North Face Snow Report app will bring visions of fresh powder to any ski or snowboarding enthusiast.

With up-to-the-minute weather and snow reports, the free app can be a useful tool for your next outdoor adventure. The Snow Report will not only tell you how many inches have fallen, but also the high and low temperatures of the day.

The app also has a convenient link to the ski resort’s homepage, in case you wanted to double check with quick call to make sure the weather report is accurate. Not only can you map the resort on Google maps, you can save your favorite resorts which makes frequent checking a breeze.

The app touts both on and off trail use, which in my mind seems a bit unlikely. Are you really going to take out your phone mid-run to check the conditions and look for trails? The answer is probably not. But when you’re lounging in the chalet or are on the way in the car, The Snow Report can provide invaluable information.

The trail maps that are provided seem thorough enough, but they are too small on the screen to really see any detail that would be of use.

But despite the size of the trail maps, I would suggest downloading the free app before your next skiing adventure.
