The NFL officially has banned the use of Twitter before, during and after games. But the NFL Players Association is taking a completely different approach.

The NFLPA’s iPhone apps, allowing you to follow NFL player’s Twitter accounts. The app is also a fully functioning Twitter app, as it allows you to check and send messages from your own account.

Those of you who are fans of both Twitter and the NFL (I’m guessing there are one or two of you out there) will love the app. Even for those who are not fans of both, some of the players’ tweets are undeniably entertaining. And while this app won’t give you tweets during the game, it does track NFL players who use Twitter to share their lives with fans.

I would recommend downloading the app ASAP as their no telling when NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will try to eradicate social networking from the face of the earth. But until then, we can rest easy knowing what Chad Ochocinco is thinking at all times of the day–except when he scores a touchdown.
