What’s cool? Yahoo! Finance brings users a view of the stock market that’s specifically catered to them. It starts with finding stocks that interest you or in which you’re invested. The app can bring you the usual, like stock quotes for a variety of businesses, as well as automatically track the ones in which you’re interested. Then, it sends you Push notifications about important updates, specifically finds news stories related to your stocks of interest, and makes available lots of real-time charts, so you can use all that information to make smart investing decisions.

Bit.Trip Run! ($3.99)

What’s it about? Race past obstacles to the beat of the music in Bit. Trip Run!, a side-scrolling platformer in which rhythm is everything.

What’s cool? A challenging side-scrolling platformer, Bit.Trip Run! almost resembles an endless runner, in that your job is to avoid obstacles by jumping and sliding while your character move at a constant speed on his own. The game includes 300 different levels to work through, plus several “challenge” levels that amp up the difficulty, and unlockable characters you can earn through your performance in different levels. Bit.Trip Run’s developers also have plans to release more content for free in the future – just keep in mind that you’ll need an iPhone 4S or iPad 2 or better to play.
