The Hunt – Shopping and Fashion Advice update (Free)

What’s it about? Fashion app The Hunt helps its users track down the clothes and accessories they’re looking for with the help of the app’s community.

What’s cool? The Hunt looks to leverage the power of lots of fashion-interested people in helping individuals find the cool clothes and other items for which they’re looking. It works by encouraging users to post photos of the items they want, with other users helping them find what stores carry those clothes. You can also post “finds” that you think are particularly cool, and shop straight out of the app when you find the kinds of clothes you love. The app’s latest update adds “Style Me Hunts,” which let users get personalized suggestions for clothes when they post pictures of themselves.

Who’s it for? Fashion-loving users who want to combine finding new clothes with a cool community should try The Hunt.

Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse ($9.99)

What’s it about? Venture through Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse as the titular Disney character, as he works to free Mickey from the evil witch Mizrabel.

What’s cool? Castle of Illusion is a remake of a classic Sega Genesis game from way back in 1990, but it hasn’t lost a step in all that time. On iOS, the result is a game that mixes 2-D and 3-D platforming gameplay, with players taking Mickey through a number of rooms in a strange castle, all of which contain huge levels with different themes. Inside, your goal is to gather diamonds and defeat bosses that hold huge gems, which you can use to open doors to other levels and eventually track down the kidnapped Minnie Mouse. The game includes five different worlds to explore, and also is filled with secret areas to uncover and clear out.

Who’s it for? Fans of Mickey, the original Castle of Illusion or just solid platformers should check this one out.

What’s it like? You might also enjoy Rayman: Jungle Run and League of Evil, both of which are great mobile platformers.

Lords of Waterdeep ($6.99)

What’s it about? Lords of Waterdeep tasks players with exercising their influence to take control of the city of Waterdeep from behind the scenes, while they work against and sabotage other would-be lords.

What’s cool? In strategy title Lords of Waterdeep, you’re part of a secret society of lords looking to take control of the city. Over the course of eight rounds, you and your opponents work to complete “quests” that will give you more power and influence in the city – whoever has the most influence at the end of the game wins. To gain more control, you’ll dispatch your agents to different city institutions, where they can recruit adventurers like warriors and wizards, who can complete quests for you. Effectively using your agents to complete the most quests is the key to victory, and you’ll get various cards you can play during your turns to change the fortunes of your fellow lords, as well. Lords of Waterdeep supports as many as six human players, and lets you play against computer-controlled opponents, as well.

Who’s it for? Fans of playing strategy games with their friends should see what Lords of Waterdeep has to offer.

What’s it like? You’ll also have a good time flexing your strategic brain muscles in Civilization Revolution and Ticket to Ride.
