Today’s first app worth downloading is great for those moments when you needs to create an impromptu presentation or show off photos from your iOS device, but you haven’t had a chance to build a full experience. It’s called PhotoPresenter and it lets you use AirPlay or an HDMI adapter to share photos on a second screen. We’ve also got Translate a Menu: Italy Food Dictionary, a great app for travelers who need to know what they’re eating when traveling abroad. Finally comes Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign, a match-3 title in which players work through a Marvel Comics storyline.

PhotoPresenter update ($1.99)

What’s it about? Show off photos and videos on larger screens using PhotoPresenter, which provides useful tools for presentations and the like.

What’s cool? Apple’s iOS platform has some nifty tools for streaming and sharing content from your devices to larger screens, such as its AirPlay feature. PhotoPresenter is an app that works with those features with an angle to give you the tools to turn your iOS devices into presentation devices. The idea is that you can create quick or even impromptu presentations using photos and videos in your device’s Camera Roll, without showing everything in your device – you just pick what it is you want to stream to a second screen, and PhotoPresenter displays only that image. With its latest update, you can use PhotoPresenter to highlight certain areas of an image specifically, or as a pointer to indicate what you’re talking about.

What’s cool? Players move objects on a grid to make matches of three of the same type, but rather than just be all about making matches to score points, it requires players to use strategy to match the right objects at the right time. Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign takes the Puzzle Quest formula and applies it to the Marvel universe, requiring players to use their match-3 skills to work through the game’s Marvel Comics storyline, fight off supervillains, and more. There’s also a player-vs.-player mode that lets you battle others from around the world across your iOS device’s Internet connection.

Who’s it for? If you like match-3 title or are a fan of the Marvel Comics universe, you’ll want to check out Marvel Puzzle Quest.

What’s it like? Grab the original Puzzle Quest, and try Pixel Defenders Puzzle for more strategic puzzle gameplay.
