Megan’s Apps

Evernote – capture notes and sync across all devices. Stay organized.

Megan is actually the person who told me about Evernote and for that I’m sooo happy. Evernote is amazing. Put all those form letters you write again and again here, tag them and find them without having to search through your email folders. In fact put anything you need here and with the ability to tag you’ll never lose it again. This tool is the best thing since sliced bread, in fact it’s better than sliced bread.

Read It Later Free

I have mixed feelings about this app only because it leaves room for user error. But if you’re Megan there’s no such thing and clearly having access to something when you’re not connected to the interwebs makes your phone even more useful than it already is. I’ve used it to bookmark PDF maps of bike races with some success and were it not for my own personal failures I’d probably love this app as much as Megan does.

Yelp

There are people who don’t know what Yelp is. I feel sorry for them. Sure, cynics may say that the crowd doesn’t know good food from a hole in the ground but frankly, they’re wrong. Yelp has yet to let me down with food choices and knowing that 100 people think a place is 5 stars is good enough for me to give it a go. Useful to find new places in your hood and especially useful while travelling.

Stanza

This one is totally new to me. A book reader but with graphics good enough to make you feel like you’re reading a book not a computer screen. Plus with all sorts of classics available for free this app is worth having for the book reader out there.
