1. Tell us about yourself – where you live, your job, things you like to do.

I’m a social strategist and digital presence consultant from Little Rock, Arkansas. I’m a geek and a Christian, and in addition I love to travel, take canoe trips, and spend time with my family.

2. Which iOS device or devices do you own? Why did you choose iPhone or iPad? Name three adjectives to describe your iPhone or iPad.

I have an iPhone 4 and plan on getting an iPad soon. I chose the iPhone several years ago because of its flexibility and numerous apps. It has become my entire office and organization center. My three words to describe my iPhone are: essential, powerhouse, connector.

3. Is there a particular category of apps that interest you the most?

I’m most interested in travel apps, business apps, Bible apps and social networking tools.

4. What are your top 3-5 apps and why?

My top apps are:

– Evernote – the ultimate notepad and idea capture tool

The Weather Channel Max – for severe weather push notifications and great forecasts

– 2do – my productivity powerhouse, the ultimate tasklist/action engine.

– Youversion Bible – my devotions, daily readings, and bookmarks are always at hand and I love having the multiple translations.

5. What apps are popular among your colleagues and friends?

Twitter, Gowalla, Instagram, Sportacular.

6. Give an example of a time an app was truly useful to you.

We’re often in the path of severe weather in Little Rock, and the last time a tornado was near, the sirens sounded after the meteorologists had thought the threat had passed. I opened RadarScope so I could see the exact real-time location of the storm to see if we were in danger.

When traveling, I can put confirmations, information and reference info all in Evernote so I don’t worry about forgetting to take paperwork on the trip. Everything is saved in Evernote and TripIt.

7. Do you have a blog, Twitter, Facebook, app etc. URLs you’d like to share?

I blog about technology and emerging media at KnowtheNetwork and I’m active on Twitter as @tsudo.

8. Anything else you’d like to share with the Appolicious audience?

I’m an early adopter, but the apps that prove their usefulness are the ones I recommend. From connecting to getting things done, I’ve found the apps to make it work. I’m always looking for suggestions so let me hear what you like.
