Kurt Warner’s Football 101 is a winning touchdown for kids

If you have kids who are at the age when they want to know everything about football, you need to download this app. Kurt Warner’s Football 101 starring QuBee.

Kurt Warner is a retired football MVP and Super Bowl champion. He teaches your child everything about football basics. The app is broken down into four quarters. Each gives a different lesson on the game. For instance, the first quarter covers all the dimensions and items you would find on a football field. It’s a cute mix of live video of Warner talking with an animated football named Qubee.

It’s an upbeat and engaging interactive lesson on all the things your child will need to know about the game. Your child will press items on the screen at Qubee’s prompts, thus learning by doing. Then after the brief lesson, Warner encourages the child to try his or her hand at answering some questions in a timed lightening round. Points are awarded for each correctly answered question.

The app is great at providing detailed questions on every aspect of the game. The second, third and fourth quarters covered such things as keeping score, learning about the different ways to score, how to correctly follow downs, and what three contingents make up a team. There was never a lull in the app, and there were even some really cute animations of players, sports announcers and fans.

I strongly recommend this app. It’s great as a learning tool, and great for young ones to learn how to interact with an iPhone. It’s a winner! There’s nothing quite like Kurt Warner’s Football 101 out there for kids.
