If you use the online FreshBooks service to manage your client interactions, you will appreciate the new MiniBooks app to instantly access to your FreshBooks account.

MiniBooks works in the same way as a FreshBooks account. It lets you keep track of the time you spend working on projects and then allows you to bill your clients for the time. One of the coolest features on MiniBooks is that you can track several projects at once, even if they are running concurrently. It’s one of the more valuable iPhones apps, because it helps keep your professional life organized.

Users can even turn off the program and the time tracker will continue to count. MiniBooks will synchronize with your FreshBooks account, to make sure that all the information you need is in one place.

Aside from keeping track of your time, MiniBooks also allows you to keep track of your customers and contractors. MiniBooks makes it easy to manage both the invoices you send out, as well as those sent to you.

The MiniBooks app is not cheap at $14.99 but it comes with a free preview called MiniBooks Lite, which I suggest downloading first if you’re considering the app. MiniBooks Lite give you total access to the program, but only to manage three clients. If you have a small business, or a small client list, this might be enough for you. But for those who need to keep track of more than three, upgrading to the full version is worth the $15.

As more and more professionals switch to online billing systems, apps like MiniBooks become more helpful. This app would be extremely helpful for professionals who are always on the road and not behind a desk.
