Keep all of your eggs in one basket with Chicken Frenzy iPhone game

If you’ve ever participated in an egg toss or high school science project where you had to drop an egg without cracking it, then you’re already more well-acquainted with Chicken Frenzy than you think.

The quick-playing arcade title has you creating lines of rope in order to get eggs from chickens up in a roost down to crates on the floor. If your rope line creates too much bounce or force against the egg, it’ll crack. Similarly if you misplace the rope, and the egg misses the crate entirely, it’ll crack.

That’s a lot to contend with on its own, but when you consider that in later levels you’ll have to contend with different colored eggs for different crates and enemies that will try to interfere with your eggs, there’s quite a bit to consider as you play Chicken Frenzy.

Making things even trickier is that certain background objects will interact with your egg plans. Little wooden ledges act as ramps that will affect which direction the eggs travel, and stray nails in the wall can send your egg off course.

It presents a good, frustrating level of gameplay challenge. You can probably get through most of these levels with a “one-egg-out-of-three” rating, but you’ll have to work very hard to earn two- and three-egg ratings.

Visually, Chicken Frenzy is animated very colorfully. There’s nothing outrageous happening graphically, but it’s a very pleasant-looking title.

If you’re longing for those high school days, and miss trying to carefully guide eggs safely to a goal, Chicken Frenzy is well worth picking up for a bit. It won’t blow you away, but with more than 60 levels, there’s a lot of eggs to keep you up at night.
