Jessica’s Apps for the week

TooLoud?

This new app came to me courtesy of this very site. Apparently a new app this will hopefully save the little hearing I have left. I’m really hoping that by the time I’m old enough to need a hearing aid they’ll have some sort of actual repair to my ears to correct all the damage from all those punk rock shows I’ve gone to over the years.

If nothing else it will at least help me make sure I’m not inflicting any further damage when I’m listening to music on my phone.

Mobypicture

My friend Alex posts pictures regularly to twitter and for whatever reason I haven’t gotten on this bandwagon yet. It’s really quite silly considering that I need to start taking pictures of classes for Seattle Free School and posting them and this would be the easy way to do it. Well, no more excuses, twitter picture posting here I come.

We City

I’m apparently addicted to the games by ngmoco or at least I feel the need to try most of them. This game looks to be a bit like SimCity but with possibly better graphics? We’ll see but I’m guessing I’ll get super addicted to this and then bored in about 2 weeks. They’re going to need to keep releasing games!

The Sims 3 Ambitions

Ages ago I played the Sims on my computer. More recently I entertained myself at the AT&T store while my friends shopped playing a different Sims version. When the review came out on this one I figured, heck, let’s give it a go. I’m not a huge gamer and get bored easily but these are usually well done enough to keep me busy for at least a month or two. We’ll see.

ThinkMessenger GV – for Google Voice

I have a google voice number for my nonprofit, Seattle Free School and having this app on my phone should help me manage the messages I get there…. or at least that’s the idea. We’ll see how it goes.
