iPhone App Video Review: ZumoCast

The iPhone is an amazing mobile media device and usually does a fine job of holding your music, photos, and videos. But what if your collection is just too large and you still want to have access to them? ZumoCast is an app that basically allows you to designate folders on your computer to share to your phone.

The app is installed on your computer and on your iPhone and will send over any files in folders selected. A quick thing to note is that you will need to have a computer that stays connected to the internet and on at all times. My Mac Pro worked just fine for this.

One nice thing about this app is that it takes any music or videos from the selected folders and provides an easy iTunes-like interface to listen or watch from. There didn’t seem to be an option for photos which was interesting but then again, most people don’t have enough photos to really need this service.

If you find you don’t have enough space for your media, definitely check this app out.
