iPhone App Video Review: Twitter

Jun 24, 2010

Enjoy sending and reading tweets with the app officially released by Twitter itself. The iPhone can now officially be a part of Twitter’s experience. Read through the trending topics, view your latest updates, and create lists of your favorite users and topics.

Twitter has finally released an app on their own instead of leaving it to other developers. After having purchased the popular Twitter development company Tweetie, the team has decided to release an official Twitter app. The app definitely looks like Twitter and more importantly, tweets like Twitter.

User’s can sign into their account and get right to tweeting and reading other tweets. The app offers all the essentials like lists, @ mentions, direct mentions, and more. The app even supports newer features in the latest iOS 4 release such as background uploading. No longer do you have to keep the app open to upload video and photos to Twitter.

Overall, the app really was put together well and definitely deserves a look. It has almost every feature you would want although there are obviously some small tweaks that can still be made. Twitter has made a smart decision by choosing to leave the excellent app design of Tweetie in tact and doing so has definitely kept it at the top of the list when it comes to iPhone Twitter apps. Check it out.
