iPhone App Video Review: ROCK BAND Reloaded

When the first Rockband was released, it was awesome to have a quality rhythm game for my iPhone. It was built well and came with a pretty large list of songs. Now Rock Band Reloaded has been released and is building on the already strong foundation of the first game.

Downloaded onto your iPhone, iPod Touch, and even on your iPad with the HD version, this app brings a few new features to the game. The largest to note is the addition of vocals along with the new horizontal layout. This featured worked great and was a welcome addon to the instruments. You also have the ability to add whammy bar effects to your performance which definitely added to the experience.

Aside from these changes and a few more minor tweaks, the game is still very much the same. It has a track list of 29 songs on purchase which is definitely the largest we’ve seen yet for the genre on these devices.

Overall, if you liked the first you will like the second. I personally prefer Guitar Hero’s strumming feature, but really it comes down to preference. Check it out.
