iPhone App Video Review: PBS

TV

Over the years PBS has offered some of the most beloved children’s shows and other content to viewers across the country. The non-profit brings a huge variety of interesting media to television and now has come to the iPhone. The app serves as a hub for the various programs offered on the station from Antiques Roadshow to Frontline.

While I personally don’t watch most of these shows on a frequent basis, it’s obvious this app could easily help discern what programs will be playing in your area. The app doesn’t support the retina display, which was slightly annoying, and it wasn’t always clear what the difference between the different tabs were. But the app offers a ton of media to watch from children’s programs to the informational shows found on the station.

If you are a PBS fan, this app is awesome. For most of you, I would suggest checking it out, but I don’t see it being something worth having on your phone. It’s a little confusing and doesn’t add too much value.
