Paperboy was one of those games on early consoles that everyone played through a million times and always seemed to lose. It was hard, had lots of fun things to do, and had that evil dog. It’s been a while since we’ve seen any recent iteration of the classic game, but now Glu Mobile has resurrected the game as Paperboy: Special Delivery and added a couple of new coats of paint.

The app still includes all the things we know and love about the game, but adds a few new things to make it interesting. There is now a story mode that will challenge you to do more than just deliver papers and was a welcome change from the normal, classic mode. Since control is one of the most important aspects to the game, the developers offer three different modes of play. This was nice because I wasn’t too partial to the default setting.

The game can still feel a bit dated as the graphics are still not anything too special, but the gameplay is as solid as ever and will definitely challenge you. Check it out.
