When Modern Combat first came out it was one of the first of it’s kind. It tried to take the ever-popular first person shooter genre and add it to the touch device. For the most part, the game succeeded in bringing the modern warfare feel to the iPhone and iPod Touch but everyone could universally agree it was far from a complete experience. The graphics were lacking and the game wasn’t fleshed out as much as it could have been. Now after a long wait, Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus has been released and is an improvement in almost every way.

The game now features a refined control scheme, gyroscope capabilities, a complete story with more engaging gameplay, and much more. The game definitely has taken a few pages from the popular Modern Warfare series on consoles and it shows in both singleplayer and multiplayer. The multiplayer now features rankings, unlocks, multiple gametypes, and a lot of other features popular with today’s shooters.

Though I could easily talk about every feature offered in this game, I need to sum it all up by saying this is easily the most complete shooter on the market. It may not have the best controls, the best gameplay, or the best story, but it definitely takes the cake for combining it all into one game effectively. Definitely check this one out.
