When music identifying apps like Shazam and Soundhound were released, I was blown away at the technology. Who ever thought you could hold up your phone and it would tell you what song was playing and then let you buy it? It all seems pretty normal now but at the time it was very futuristic. Well now a new app has been released that is pushing the boundaries of our imagination again. IntoNow is an app like Shazam but for television.

The app can accurately determine what show is playing just by hearing a short clip of the audio. This was exactly what I was hoping for… kind of. The app states it can identify most songs within the last 5 years and even live TV. That was completely true and absolutely amazing.

But the app struggles when you ask it to figure out a newer movie or what trailer is playing. Its main focus is on more of a social aspect which is nice if you have a lot of friends who use it too. I found it to be a little too much as I mainly just wanted an app for identifying shows. The app is available for free so definitely check it out.
