iPhone App Video Review: Infinight

Feb 18, 2011

It’s been a while since I’ve tried out a thriller game and Infinight seemed like the perfect opportunity to jump back into the genre. Infinight describes itself as a “thriller light-based platformer” and while I would say most of that is true, I don’t think it can be called a platformer.

The game is essentially a bird’s eye view game where you try to solve puzzles by avoiding traps and reaching the exit. It’s set in a mysterious environment where strange things are happening and light is your greatest friend.

After playing through it, I don’t see this game as providing anything groundbreaking as far as gameplay or graphics, but it has its fun times. The game also offers a free play mode and multiplayer which was pretty good considering its low price tag.

Overall, the game wasn’t anything too special but I could see how it could be fun for some of you. It has plenty of unlockables, a simple story, and some fun gameplay elements. Check it out.
