We’ve all seen the apps that allow us to turn our iPhones and iPod touches into guns. Some have been pretty simple while others have put much more thought into the experience. One of the more recent apps to hit the Top 25 is Gun Builder. Unlike most gun apps available, this app focuses on the customization of the guns all the way down to different scopes, finishes, and reticules.

The app comes with five basic gun types: a shotgun, pistol, assault rifle, submachine gun, and sniper rifle. From there you have the option to add all the other customizations and save it to your collection.

Once created, you can take your gun out for some target practice. This mode is more for the sound and really doesn’t offer any type of gameplay.

Overall, the app was a little fun to use at the beginning when I was setting up guns. But after a while it just became another boring app with a few options and not enough replay value.
