iPhone App Video Review: Dead Space

Dead Space was originally released as a game for consoles and is currently celebrating the coming of its sequel. To help hype up the new game and also provide some action for mobile players, Dead Space has been released for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad.

Although sharing a name with the first game, this game is something completely separate. The events take place between Dead Space and Dead Space 2 but you’ll still be taking down enemies and trying not to lose your sanity.

First and most importantly, I highly recommend wearing headphones with this game. The sound design is awesome and in a dark room, could easily scare the faint of heart. The controls to the game worked fine although I frequently found myself struggling to enjoy moving around. The graphics in the game are on par with some of the newer titles and take full advantage of the retina display.

This game is definitely a horror game and while it may not be the scariest, it does it’s job wonderfully. If you like the genre and needed a new game to keep you entertained for a while, definitely check this one out.
