iPad App Video Review: The Daily

Feb 4, 2011

We’ve seen some pretty awesome magazines created for the iPad from the excellent port of Wired, to the various lifestyle magazines available. These are all great, but all of them have an actual paper magazine in print as well. The Daily is different.

This magazine has been created specifically for the iPad and takes full advantage of the platform. The iPad-only publication earns its name because it releases a new version every single day. The content ranges from sports, news, gossip and more all presented in a way that does the digital age proud. The subscription offers interactivity like no other with daily games, the ability to comment, and user polls directly on the pages.

This is truly a landmark for a new type of publication. Since this is a subscription, users can try it out for free, but after two weeks it will cost $0.99 a week. This isn’t too bad for fresh content delivered every day to your device, and will most likely be a worthwhile purchase for a lot of people. Definitely check this one out.
