iPad App Video Review: TED

Our culture is growing day by day with technology and we are beginning to realize the dream of using it to communicate and grow in knowledge. One website completely concerned with the spreading of ideas and research is TED. The website is host to a ton of videos where speakers come from all over the world to share their research and offer new insights into the world around us. They have recently released an iPad app for free that can play and organize all of the different videos on the site.

Now wherever you are you can view the great speeches and presentations in a large format. The app is made for easy browsing and finding videos that interest you. When you start up the app, you can browse through the featured videos with large thumbnails or visit the themes tab to find videos collected around a similar topic. There is also a tag tab which sorts videos by the different words they have been tagged with. If you like a video, you can save the talk to your offline viewer which gives you the video even if you don’t have a connection.

Overall, TED is an amazing resource and a great example of how the internet can be used for learning and the app is just as awesome. Check it out.
