iPad App Video Review: Penultimate

As iPads are beginning to gain traction in the corporate world, lots of apps that take notes are starting to see some time in the Top 25 section. One app I had heard of, but never tried, was Penultimate.

This is extremely simple and straightforward, not really offering a crazy amount of features but selecting basic ones to present. The app is 100 percent focused on providing an amazing writing experience on the device and I really have to say it delivers.

Aside from having one of the coolest interfaces on the iPad in terms of blending with Apples default apps, Penultimate makes writing every stroke a fun experience. The app has little subtle details such as changing the width of the stroke based on speed and smoothing out your lines to really present the best looking writing you have done on an iPad. I could be going crazy, but I swear I saw the ink sink into the paper slightly after writing.

Overall, this app deserves its place in the top section, and is definitely worth looking into if you want a handwriting app.
