iPad App Video Review: Forget-Me-Not

Mar 31, 2011

Forget-Me-Not by Nyarlu Labs is a trip back to the past where games like Pac-Man and Asteroids ruled. In fact, the game is essentially an evolution of the classic Pac-Man games. The point of the game is to find the key on the level and bring it to the door.

The door can only be accessed by gathering all the small pieces on the map. While doing this, there will be a constant barrage of enemies trying to steal the key and to stop you.

The game includes many new features like your gun shooting and the ability to grind a wall which will charge your body and turn it into a weapon. The game played very smooth, but it would have been nice if the game came with shooting controls.

However, it comes with a few different game modes and a same-device multiplayer option which was pretty fun to play through. The graphics will remind you exactly of Pac-Man but the sounds in the game were way more chaotic. The game offered Game Center support which was nice, but it was disappointing that I couldn’t play online with a friend.

Overall, the game was a fun retro app and for the cheap price might be worth it for some of you. It’s available for both the iPad and iPhone so definitely check it out.
