iPad App Video Review: Collision Effect

Some of the coolest games and apps coming out for the iPad are ones that use awesome particle effects and simple gameplay mechanics. One of these apps is Collision Effect. The game was released by Chillingo and has already received quite a bit of attention.

At first glance, it doesn’t seem to be much. Just a bunch of colored balls on the screen. But after you learn how to play it, you’ll see that there is an awesome puzzle game hidden behind its simplistic look. The game comes with two different modes to pick from. There is the Action mode that will challenge you to make it through waves of incoming globes and match them to their appropriate color. This was fun but for the more puzzle-oriented player they may want to check out the Puzzle mode. This mode sets up the globes in a preset formation and challenges the player to solve it. It was both challenging and really easy to pick up and play.

I definitely recommend this app because of how simple but fun it is. At the time of this review it cost practically nothing.
