iPad 3 believed to be in production boasting higher-resolution screen and LTE

According to Bloomberg, Apple’s new iPad 3 is already in production and is expected to go on sale in March.

Bloomberg is citing “three people familiar with the product” in its story, and other sources close to Apple’s manufacturing partners in Asia “who asked not to be named because the details aren’t public.”

The iPad 3 will apparently boast a higher resolution display than its predecessor, a fast, quad-core processor and even LTE wireless capabilities which carriers such as Verizon and AT&T are rolling out to many customers in the USA. This faster-than-3G technology is becoming standard for many modern smartphones and tablets, and though Apple is usually fairly slow to latch onto new technology, if an iPad is emerging with 4G LTE, Apple must be confident of its capabilities.

Mass production of the new iPad 3 is apparently beginning soon, with factories in China working 24/7 to produce the much-anticipated Apple tablet. The iPad 3 will be the first new product from Apple since the death of founder Steve Jobs in October, and if Bloomberg’s specs pan-out, it’s sure to be a game-changer (again) offering a great deal of high performance and high-res graphics right out of the box.

This story is still breaking, so we’ll bring you more information when we hear about it. Stay tuned.
