In The Kitchen With iPad

Apr 9, 2010

One of the things I was MOST excited about with my new iPad was the ability to use it for recipes! I have been squinting at my iPhone screen for way too long and this makes it a million times easier. I highly recommend the matching case — it turns it into a stand, perfect for reading while stirring. Be careful not to splash it; otherwise, bon appetit!

Epicurious Recipes & Shopping List

I fell in love with this app on the iPhone, and really it can’t be beat for cooking. With recipes for EVERYTHING under the sun, from appetizers to desserts and a clear, easy-to-use interface, Epicurious really is the best food app out there.

I’m a huge fan of easy cooking, and it doesn’t get any easier than the Crockpot. This app allows you to search by the size of your CrockPot, ingredients (help you figure out what to do with that leftover meat!) as well as seasonal ingredients.

Whole Foods Market

I am a sucker for Whole Foods (I call it Whole Paycheck, because I find it nearly impossible to control my spending there!) and love this app. You can select recipes by special dietary needs such as gluten-free or vegetarian, build shopping lists and lets you see weekly specials.
