Want a gym-rat physique without the expense of a personal trainer? Check out the iFitness iPhone app ($1.99) – it’s like a digital version of Jillian Michaels.

The iFitness app provides a detailed catalogue of exercises that will work every inch of your body; each exercise comes with a visual guide and a written description. Cardio options include jumping rope, rowing, and jogging. Stretching exercises include stretches for your abductors, hip flexors and glutes. And then you can proceed body part by body part, until you are ready to model for the cover of Muscle magazine. Users are also able to add custom exercises, so if you have any favorites from your high school athletic career, this is the time to bring them back.

If you are looking for comprehensive fitness advice, the app includes several full exercise programs, including programs for beginners, abdominal defining, muscle building and more.

Consistency is the key when it comes to exercise, and there is a feature to log all of your activity. If you really enjoy a particular workout, you can save it to repeat at a later date.

In addition, the app is loaded with extras, including a food tracker, BMI calculator and weight monitor. Really, there is no excuse to not exercise if you have this iPhone app.
