Remember the feeling on Christmas morning when you open a gift and your silent reaction is “What were they thinking?” That is exactly the feeling I had when I downloaded Gift Planner by JP Morgan.
While the tool looks very nice, it is not really much more than a list of lists. Even if we weren’t in the middle of a recession, I can’t think of anyone that I would want to send my own gift “wish list.”
That said, if Christmas gift giving is a challenge for you, this app might help. Gift Planner allows you to create groups of recipients by category. It is preloaded with groups including Family, Friends and Business contacts.
Gift Planner can then add contacts to your lists, create gifts and assign them to one or more people. The app can also track the cost of gifts for each individual and budgets for each group.
Even free, Gift Planner is best avoided.
