Get an in on country music with CMT Insider

What other FREE app gives you behind-the-scenes clips from Taylor Swift’s new video “Mine”? You guessed it: None other than CMT Insider (it had the clips before the video even premiered). And the video itself, a fast-forward love story that you can watch right on the app, is pretty kickin’.

If you’re a fan of Country Music Television, this app is a must-have. Search through a list of all the top country stars to select your favorite, or perhaps a singer or band you would like to know more about. Find out each musician’s upcoming tour dates, learn more about them in their bios, browse through a sea of top-quality photos, and read about their lives from a constantly updated news feed. If you don’t want to search for one artist in particular, you can scan the Music News to see what’s up with all the country celebs you love. And if you don’t want to read about them because you would prefer to watch their videos . . . well, you’re in luck there, too.

Under Videos, aside from Swift’s “Mine,” is a section for clips from CMT’s much-loved show “Southern Fried Flicks.” For each episode, Hazel Smith hosts one of your favorite movies, and teaches you how to cook a “real down-home dish.” Watch as Katie Armiger joins Hazel for “Young Guns” and Jaron Lowenstein from “The Long Road to Love” makes a guest appearance for “Crocodile Dundee.” Plus, learn how to make “melt-in-your-mouth” chicken pie, corn chowder and earthquake cake from Hazel herself . . . all on your iPhone app.

If “Southern Fried Flicks” isn’t your thing, or even if it is, you can also see videos from CMT’s Insider News Now — check out Miranda Lambert in a candid and sincere interview — and CMT’s Top 20 Countdown.
