In today’s Fresh iPhone games, an update gives you more ways to slice through fruit in one popular title. But if horrific violence is more your style, we found another slicing game — with zombies. See them and more below.

Blufr (iPhone) Free

Answers.com just celebrated its 10-millionth answer, and using all that information, released this trivia game that’s both simple and fast-paced — a perfect recipe for addicting gameplay.

You get a quick statement that appears on your screen, and the option to decide whether the statement is true or call its bluff, as it were. After you answer, even if you’re correct, the app provides you a little more background about the question, and you earn points for each correct choice you make to keep track of your score.

Fruit Ninja update (iPhone, iPad) $0.99

Lots of people really enjoy Fruit Ninja, which has players using a finger swipe to cut through fruit as it goes flying through the air. It gets hectic but still falls into that five-minute pick-up-and-play category.

Developer Halfbrick has announced a free update to the game that adds an entire new Arcade mode to the game, which has the player slicing as much fruit as possible for 60 seconds. Halfbrick has also changed the gameplay a little bit for Arcade mode, throwing in bonus bananas that add boost your score. Also, you can now use Frenzy mode to increase the amount of fruit on the screen, or Freeze mode to slow the action down.

ZombieSlide (iPhone) $0.99

Maybe slicing fruit isn’t your style — maybe you’d like to work in battling the undead instead. So grab ZombieSlide, another slicing game, except here it’s zombie heads you need to cut apart.

ZombieSlide is an indie game, and while it’s similar to Fruit Ninja, it’s not a straight-up clone. You also get to choose from four different weapons to use in dispatching ghouls, including a shotgun, a machete and a bow.
