Fresh iPhone Games for Nov. 16: WoodyTouch 4 in 1, Arroic, Brutal Fantasy

What’s better than a great price for a cool game? A great price for four cool games, like you’ll get with WoodyTouch 4 in 1. That’s the app that leads the charge in today’s Fresh Games, but if getting a dollar version of Bejeweled and Simon with two other games doesn’t do it for you, we also included some free offerings. Check them out below.

WoodyTouch 4 in 1 Games (iPhone) $0.99

As the name suggests, this app carries four different classic puzzle games for only a dollar. At the very least, you’ll find clones from cool games from childhood or other apps, with a calm wood-block aesthetic and a good price.

Among the puzzles available, most notably are a Bejeweled-style game that requires players to make combinations of three similar blocks to clear them from the board and score points, and a Simon-like game in which you’re tasked with remembering a sequence of lights that grows more complicated over time. And there are a couple of other games to try out when those two get boring. As far as bang for your buck, you could do worse than WoodyTouch 4 in 1.

Arroic (iPhone) Free

This is a tough puzzler that requires you to use planning and physics to guide a ball through each level on a path to collect as many coins — and points — as possible.

Each level is fraught with obstacles, like wooden obstructions or gooey patches, and requires you to draw an arrow from your ball in a straight line through the board. If you want to redirect the ball later, you need to draw another line from the spot at which the ball will end up — and this can be tough, because the lines act more like tracks than guides. Arroic is a challenging game and includes 61 levels and 35 achievements. Expect to be revisiting levels, fine-tuning your puzzle-solving approach.

Brutal Fantasy – Prologue (iPhone, iPad) Free

40 free levels of RPG/beat-em-up hybrid goodness, for free? Yes, please. Proceed directly to the App Store for download of Brutal Fantasy.

You’ll find a very cool, dark comic art style in this game, which is actually a story prologue to the upcoming Brutal Fantasy – Orcs of Undermountain. If nothing else about the game strikes you, the awesome, hand-drawn aesthetic is enough to warrant downloading this free app.
