The Xbox 360’s downloadable title Geometry Wars HD is one of the system’s best values, but you can get a similar experience — with multiplayer support — on your iPad with Infinity Field, a two-stick shooter with neon graphics and a spacey, geometry-based look. It’s the top of today’s Fresh Games list, along with a couple of other casual arcade titles for your approval. We’ve got all the details you’ll need below.

Infinity Field (iPad) $1.99

Two-stick shooter Infinity Field will probably remind you of similar games with neon art styles and enemies made up of geometric shapes — games like Geometry Wars and Pew-Pew. But despite the similarities, Infinity Field still manages to deliver a lot of intense, fast-paced action, and it has a few tricks up its sleeve to distinguish it from similar grid-based space shooters.

You’ll make use of several different power-ups and weapons on your ship as you work through Infinity Field’s six different game modes. And while it includes a score-based arcade mode, you’ll also have the option to pound through a single-player campaign that includes boss fights, or take on other humans in an online multiplayer mode.

3D Bio Ball (iPhone, iPad) $1.99

Tilt your way through 109 different stages in 3D Bio Ball, in which you control a ball and try to get through a bunch of 3D levels with multiple elevations, while collecting coins, finding hidden rooms and avoiding enemies.

3D Bio Ball features a lot of traps and elements you’ll have to work through, like switches, falling floors, jump pads and earthquakes, and the more you collect and earn through each level, the more improvements and upgrades you can purchase for your bio ball. Some puzzles even culminate in big boss fights to switch things up for you.

Cooties (iPad)$1.99

Apparently, Cooties are attacking your internal organs, and the best way to stop them is by tapping and swiping madly at your iPad’s screen. You’ll work through several parts of the body and defend several talking, smiling organs as you work through Cooties’ story mode.

But the story isn’t all there is to Cooties. The game adds Crystal support to provide you with leaderbaoards to climb and achievements to strive for. There’s also a multiplayer mode that allows you to team up with friends or family to take on the critters using the iPad’s multitouch support.
