Jimi Hendrix: The Complete Experience (iPhone, iPad) Free

Get the full Jimi Hendrix experience on your iOS devices with Jimi Hendrix: The Complete Experience, the official app of the legendary rock star. The app lets you tap into lots of information about Hendrix and his music, as well as see videos and movies he created and listen to tracks. If you have Hendrix tracks on your device, the app will add them automatically to the full Hendrix discography located inside, so you can see and listen to Hendrix’s work as you learn about it.

The Complete Experience also includes videos from concerts and photos and video clips from venues where Hendrix played. If you’re interested in visiting the places Hendrix frequented during his life, you can take the tour facilitated by the app that notifies you when you’re nearing a location significant to Hendrix using your iPhones GPS capabilities. There’s also social network integration so you can share what you learn with others, and AirPlay support so you can broadcast items from the app on a TV screen.

Tap Tap Muppets (iPhone, iPad) Free (with in-app purchases)

The latest in the long-running Tap Tap rhythm game series ties in with the movie The Muppets that’s coming to theaters next week. The free app lets you tap along to the rhythm as notes move down your screen along certain tracks, prompting you to hit the right buttons in time with the music. The more on time you are, the better your score on each of the game’s musical tracks.

Tap Tap Muppets comes with two songs for free – “The Muppet Show Theme”, as played by OK Go, and “Movin’ Right Along” from Alkaline Trio. You can also get more songs through in-app purchases. Tap Tap Muppets includes Game Center support, which provides online leaderboards that let you see just how well your tapping skills match up to those of other players.

Cut the Rope: Experiments update (iPhone, iPad) $0.99

Already, Cut the Rope: Experiments has taken the fun, dynamic Cut the Rope puzzle formula and created something new out of it. Sure, you’re mostly just cutting ropes with a slash of your finger in the game, which drops a piece of candy into the mouth of your little pet monster. But in Experiments, you’re challenged with new items and objects that demand new strategies, and requirements that force you to solve puzzles quickly and efficiently to get the best scores.

Twenty-five new levels have been added to Experiments in a big update, added to the game’s original haul of more than 70. There’s also a new gameplay element – the rocket – which means you’ll need to pay attention and learn even more new ways of getting candy into the mouth of a Om Nom. The game has been optimized with iCloud support, so you can share your game saves across multiple devices.
