It’s March, and if you’re excited about basketball, you’ll want to check out NCAA March Madness on Demand, an app designed to meet all your playoff needs. We’ve got the details about it below — it’s streaming capabilities and built-in bracket — as well as some info about Domo, an app that uses Facebook to help you find new friends in a crowd, and an interesting Twitter client called Fluitting.

NCAA March Madness on Demand (iPhone, iPad) Free

It’s basketball time, but you don’t need a cable subscription or playoff tickets to get to see every single college game this March. The NCAA’s March Madness app allows you to stream all the games you want to your iOS device, for free.

NCAA has included a lot of other cool stuff — like a handy bracket you can fill out, access to Twitter and Facebook so you can comment live on games, and alerts about tipoffs and scores that you might be missing. You can even get access to your local TV listings from the app.

Domo (iPhone, iPad) Free

Social networking and messaging app Domo is all about meeting new people with your phone. It integrates with Facebook and uses information from your public profile to match you up with people in your immediate physical vicinity. The idea is that you can find people you’re nearby, say when you’re attending South by Southwest next week in Austin, Texas, and interact with them through Domo to meet people.

Domo works hard to keep sure your private information stays private, so you won’t have to worry about oversharing. You can browse through the public profiles of people around you from the app, then initiate conversations with those who seem interesting. And in addition to exchanging messages by Domo, you can also send and receive pictures.

Fluitting (iPhone) $0.99

Bored with traditional Twitter interfaces? Check out Fluitting, a Twitter client that lets you page through your timeline of messages by moving your device. Tilting back pages down your timeline, tilting forward goes in reverse. Rotating to the side reveals more information from the tweet, expanding it so you can click links or share it with others on your timeline.

Fluitting is all about minimal presentation, so if you’re looking for a noiseless Twitter alternative, you might want to give this one a look.
