Free version of iSwap Faces Lite not worth the download

In a poorly executed free version of an app, Black Frog Industries really missed the boat with it’s Swap Faces Lite. I was disappointed with this version for several reasons: the app creates an ugly iSwap Faces Lite logo watermark over your photo, you can’t save the photo once you’re done and it is filled with ads.

The premise of the app is that you take a photo with two or more people, use a little graphic tool that looks like a mask to choose each face and then swap the faces of two people in the photo. It has the potential to create some pretty funny doctored photos.

Unfortunately, this app was fun for about 5 minutes before I realized all the things I couldn’t do with it.

You can also only swap the faces of two people in the same photo in the Lite version.

The paid version of the iSwap Faces app supports image saving, swapping faces using two different photos, has no advertising and no logo watermark overlay on the photo you’re playing with. So, basically, the Lite version is just an advertisement for the paid version of iSwap Faces.

That’s a shame, because many “lite” versions of paid apps offer at least one or two features that make the free version worthwhile. In this case, iSwap Faces Lite is not worth the real estate it uses on your iPhone or iPod Touch.
