Free Mogwee iPhone app brings people together

Mogwee is a free app for the iPhone that lets you invite as many friends as you want to chat. You can create groups of friends or “Hangouts,” as Mogwee likes to call them. The app lets you place a photo with your name, create nicknames, include videos, and post photos to the chat window. And because it’s a group chat, it’s fun and all-inclusive. The only drawback I saw was that it was a little hard to read the text when a background was selected, especially the beach scene.

Setup was a breeze, with little to no instructions available on the app, but none was really needed. The only thing that was confusing was where to change the settings, like adding avatar pictures and selecting backgrounds. You had to select the illustration of the rocket, and then slide your finger to the left to select settings. Stuff like that shouldn’t be a chore to find, and should be readily available on the home screen as soon as you begin. Even the website was light on instructions, and not much was written about it on the site, nor was there anything written on the app description page. A little more information would be helpful.

Mogwee is a universal app that runs on the iPhone, iTouch and the iPad. And if you’re bored between chats, you can play a silly little app called sheep tennis. It’s a quick, pointless game of “pong” with sheep instead of balls. Pointless as it is, it was clever to include a game in the app in case you wanted to waste time.
