In this healthcare app, you complete up to four fun challenges an hour in order to add 7 minutes and 35 seconds of bonus life to your life expectancy. The app is based on research done by Jane McGonigal that shows that if you increase your “four resistances” (social, mental, physical and emotional) once per hour you can increase your lifespan. It has several activities and educational sections presented in a playful and engaging manner. Fire Rescue ensure your children know how to dial 9-1-1 (or its international equivalent) how to feel for heat sources, how to keep low to avoid smoke and to learn about which objects to avoid. It’s all wrapped up with fun activities so kids are entertained as they learn.

Appolicious user PSid (Philipp Siddler) let us know about the game he created called GuessWhat Quiz. The app turns your photos into a fun quiz. You simply shoot an object then see if your friends can guess what it is, and it’s easy to add hints if you like. The game is designed for both iPhone and iPad, can be played alone or as a multiplayer title. There are no in-app purchases or ads and the developer promises regular updates.
